The difference between bay window curtain rods and standard rods

When shopping for window treatments and accessories, remember there is a difference between bay window curtain rods and standard curtain rods.  Most regular windows require curtain rods that are straight.  These may have decorative ends or not. These rods attach to the wall or window frame depending on the type of treatments you are installing.  Bay window curtain rods are designed differently.

Bay window curtain rods are specially designed to work with bay windows which are recessed and have angles.  The last thing you want to do is try and use a standard rod and cover up your beautiful bay window.  With bay windows, the rod is often installed on the inside of the window so that you don't interfere with the view and space of the window.

You can choose from a variety of decorative bay window curtain rods.  They are available in a number of finishes are designs to match any home.  If you aren't really keen on curtains, you can also choose shades or blinds specially designed for bay windows.  Whatever way you go, remember, you want something your can easy open and close so that you get full enjoyment from your window.
